Back from holiday

149 words

We’re back from Corralejo in Fuerteventura, where Debbie and I shared a villa with Tom, Abbi and Steve.

Tom and I did some fairly intensive kiteboarding learning, while everyone else did a lot of relaxing with books and gameboys, by pools, on terraces, and on beaches.

With warm waters, reliable wind, sandy beaches and low prices, Fuerteventura is one of the best places in the world for kitesurfing, and I was prepared to tolerate British Yobs on Holiday for it. In fact, Corralejo is pleasantly free of yobbishness, and although there are a number of British pubs (one of which screens Only Fools And Horses on a loop), the beaches and bars are inhabited by holidaymakers of many European nationalities.

With all that kitesurfing, photos are a little scarce, but what I have will appear eventually. I intend to write down my thoughts on beginner kitesurfing, before I forget it all, too.
