Gcam2007

181 words, 1 image

Since Debbie was occupied with exam marking on Saturday, and I was at a loose end, I strolled into town with Steve. In Boots, they had a pack of ten disposable cameras for £20. An idea popped into my head.

So, I’m going to clothe them all in printed paper wrappers, with my address, a stamp, and some instructions, and take them to the Glastonbury Festival.

The photo is a prototype - the final product will be more colourful.

I’ll plant them around the festival, a few each day. The instructions tell the finder to take up to two photos, then leave the camera for someone else to find — or if the film is finished, pop the camera in a postbox. Yes, there are postboxes at Glastonbury.

Any that come back (and if less than eight come back, my faith in humanity will be damaged), I’ll process and publish the unexpurgated results in the gcam2007 group on Flickr.

It will be interesting. It might even be very interesting.

The real purpose of this post is to get Google to index “gcam2007″ and spot the Flickr group…

Great idea! Might be an idea to buy 20 ziplock bags given previous years weather conditions.
    Have fun at Glastonbury!

    Whatever happened to optimism?

  3. John Says:

Update: optimism now in short supply. Ziplock bags purchased.
