Sean and Karen visit
149 wordsOur weekend began with a well attended Happy Friday at Leamington’s new French place, Le Bistrot Pierre. I thought it was smashing — I had lovely lamb with lovely vegetables — but Gary told me this morning that his steak was tough.
On Saturday, Sean and Karen came to visit. We fed them, then took them to the football to see Leamington thrash Rocester convincingly; 3-0. I had warrned them to dress up warm, and although they’d done so, Karen said “If you’d told me it was called the New Windmill Ground I would have brought an extra layer”.
We fed them some more, and forced them to play Fluxx (reasonably well received) and Puerto Rico, which Karen won thanks to some cynical play from Debbie.
In the morning we showed them around Leamington and had lunch at the Slug & Lettuce before they went.
All in all a pleasant chilled out weekend.
