Causeway United 0 - 2 Leamington

121 words

Steve drove us up to Oldbury, to see Tividale’s amazing sloping pitch, where Causeway share the ground.

As is common, the ground had underestimated Leamington’s travelling support and struggled to cater for all the hungry people. I got some curry and chips (rather nice) just as their frier overheated and threatened to pack in for the rest of the day.

It took 20 minutes for Jon Adams to find a mid-distance shot, which the goalie got a finger to but failed to save. The goalie responded by insulting his defence, which was entertaining.

Andy Gregory made it 2-0 in what felt like the closing minutes of the game, but turned out not to be, since there was over 10 minutes added on for stoppage.
