Video Videorama

Bescot stadium

This is a panorama made from a video I took while at the Brakes match in Walsall the other day. The thing is, these videoramas look different, depending on where in the frame you choose to crop your slices from.

So, last night I worked my computer very hard, and generated 480 panoramas a bit like the one above. Then I converted the sequence of panoramas into a video. It’s quite interesting, although there are probably better source videos I could have worked from.
I realised after I’d set it going that what I was doing was taking a three-dimensional set of data (X x Y x Time) and swapping the X and Time axes.

It’s in DivX ;) format, which means you might need a trip to Free Codecs to download and install their fantastic K-Lite “make all videos work” codec pack.
