Big Brother post no. 1

157 words

I am not ashamed to say that I find Celebrity Big Brother tremendously entertaining, if unsettling at times.

Reading threads like this one, I am yet again astonished to discover how differently some people think to me. While Galloway can, in the heat of the moment, convince himself that he’s acted with integrity throughout, I just can’t understand how someone who’s watched the footage can believe the same thing. And yes, I am allowing for editing.

I’m constantly amazed — and delighted, in a sick way — at the way housemates in every series of Big Brother are surprised when they’re exposed to some ruling they perceive as unjust. Galloway is upset that when he discussed nominations, he was punished. He might be right about other housemates discussing nominations to some extent, but like Al Murray’s pub, in the BB house it’s “my gaff, my rules”.

And if you don’t understand that when you go in, you’re not very bright.
