After they beat us 4-1 in the league, Oldbury needed showing who was boss in Leamington’s first Birmingham Counties FA Senior Cup game (having got a bye in the first round).
Steve and I went and watched — me from an increasingly familiar position, cowering under an umbrella, and Steve proudly soaking in the rain.

BBC Midlands Today showed some footage of Leamington’s FA Cup goals against Woodford, and as it happens, Steve, Debbie and I were in shot both times. Stardom!
(Our heads are 2 scanlines high at most — but Debbie’s pink umbrella is clearly visible between Steve’s black umbrella and mine.)

To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure I understand its every nuance, but I love its ambiguity, and I love the confusion evident in the “your letters” section. Is it racist, or is it not? Is it parodying racism but ultimately being racist itself? I don’t know!
