Brakes update

216 words

Just in case anyone’s reading:

The main sources of Brakes news — folfc.org.uk and brakingnews.us — have both ceased operating under those names, and merged to become the official website, http://www.leamingtonfc.co.uk.

All the worthy recipients — regulars, supporters’ club members, etc. — ought by now to have bought their tickets for the FA Cup round 1 match in Colchester. Tomorrow night, the remaining tickets will be on sale to the general public.

From the web site:

These will be sold this coming Tuesday 1 November from 7:30 PM at the clubhouse. First come first served and initial entitlement will be limited to two though people who already have two may also attend and buy up to two more.

After Tuesday there will be no more tickets sold even if there are some left.

If you’re new to The Brakes, and don’t know where the clubhouse is, go South down Tachbrook Road. Just as Warwick Gate runs out, turn left on the fancy new junction, towards Harbury. Once you’ve passed “Mr Karting” on the left, slow down and keep your eyes peeled for a small “Leamington FC” signpost on the right, pointing left. It’s small, it’s hard to see in the dark and it’s right on the turning, and if you miss it, it’s not easy to turn around for another pass.
