Singstar 80s

88 words

I’m not sure about themed Singstars, however much I’d love to see indie Singstar, because part of the genius of Singstar was that each disk had something for everyone.

But Singstar 80s appears to have some crackers on it. “The final countdown”, “I want to know what love is”, “Poison”, “It’s Tricky”, “Rio”.

I wish I knew how to specifically find the bit of disk containing “Karma Chameleon” and scratch it til it’s unusable — even though I’m ashamed to say it’s the first full price 7″ single I bought.

Karma Chameleon is the kind of popular music that isn’t made any more - original, mellow and unique. Classic. And I want to know what love is - ugh.

Aren’t Ice Ice Baby and Simply the Best 90’s songs?

Phil, you’re continuing to confuse good Singstar fodder with good songs.

… although I won’t defend Karma Chameleon as either. Actually the verse is OK, but the chorus gets repeated way too many times.

“The Best” was 1989. “Ice Ice Baby” was late 1990, but gets played during the 80s section in cheesy nightclubs, presumably because it’s only one year out, and has a 1983 Queen riff at its core :)
