At Home with John and Debbie

I got an email from long-term household favourites Cake this morning. It seems they’re collecting other people’s cover versions of Cake songs. I like the way strangeness or excellence will do, and I very much look forward to the album.

Greetings CAKE Listener,

Over the years we at CAKE have received in the mail some very interesting recordings of our songs, performed by musicians from myriad corners of the globe, walks of life, and aesthetic orientations. Because some of these renditions were unrelentingly strange and/or excellent, we have decided to put together a CD collection of our favorites. We currently still have room in this collection for a few more songs, so if you or someone you know does an interesting CAKE cover, by all means send us a copy of it ASAP.
