At Home with John and Debbie

As previously chronicled, I bought Lego Star Wars: The Game on Friday.

It’s a lot of fun. At the end of the day, it’s just a 3D platform game, but the inspired theme adds a lot. It is a kids’ game, and as such it is very easy. I never finish games, but I finished “story mode” in this one within 14 hours of putting the disk in the Xbox — also managing to squeeze in a meal, a couple of pints with Debbie and Steve, and a good night’s sleep.

So, I’d recommend it as a rental. I’ve not squeezed out all the value just yet though: there are lots of hidden items to collect (some are only reachable using characters you don’t have in Story Mode), and there appears to be a section you unlock with a code — maybe they publish that when the Episode 3 film comes out?
