Board Silly
136 wordsGames we played last night:
Manhattan: pleasantly abstract tower building game. I was doing well at the start of the final phase. It turns out Manahattan is a game where everyone gangs up on the leader during the last phase… I came third. Tim won.
Citadels: we played and enjoyed this before, in its German edition. This time, Gary told me off for admiring the pretty illustrations on the cards. He’s right, the theme is completely tacked on, but it’s terrific fun and a great game. I lost badly. Graham won.
Power Grid: We didn’t finish this; we basically struggled through the rules. I think by chucking out time we’d got the hang of it, but we were nowhere near finished. Graham appeared to be in the strongest position. I look forward to trying it properly another time.
