Here’s a discovery I should probably have found sooner.
TheyWorkForYou.com is a
volounteer-run site which digests debates, oral questions and written
answers from
Hansard
(the official record of UK parliament) and presents it in a user-friendly
manner. You can find statistics on your own MP’s activities, view their recent
contributions to the house, and subscribe to an RSS feed of their activities.
You don’t need to know your MP’s name. You don’t even need to know the name
of your consituency — enter your postcode and you’re away.
So, now neither James Plaskitt (Hon. Member for Warwick and Leamington) nor
Simon Thomas (HMf. Ceredigion) can utter a word in parliament without my
hearing about it. One of them works for me. The other, I suppose does not,
strictly.
