Sowing favours (ready to reap)
This is our neighbour Steve. He’s looking rather brown, don’t you think? This is because he’s just back from holiday in Rhodes (whenever I think of Rhodes, I hum the Portishead song of the same name). He has a pained expression, partly because there is a flash going off in his face, and partly because it is Very Early In The Morning and he has had very little sleep since he has been on a plane.
We went to Birmingham Airport to collect him, which involved us getting up Very Early In The Morning too. Subsequently I was at work by 7:30. In the morning!
Why does this belong in this diary; a diary of our holiday, not his? Quid pro quo. Steve is very kindly taking us to Heathrow airport on Saturday. Or rather, we’re taking ourselves, and he’s bringing our car home.
