First Thoughts
I'm simply testing the software I wrote in 2002 for our Great Northern trip. I've been too lazy to write diaries since then, but I'm getting back on the saddle.
As the index page suggests, our thought process in planning this trip was "Japan" -> "Can't afford Japan" -> "Two for one tickets to the US" -> "Can't get 'em" -> "Let's go anyway" -- although Debbie got flights from Expedia on Northwest Airlines for about the same price as two-for-one AA flights.
We fly from Gatwick to Atlanta on Saturday, then we pick up a car on Sunday and get driving. The aim is to make it to New Orleans and back in 2 weeks, and see a lot of cool stuff along the way.
Here is a picture of a swan outside our house, just to prove to myself that the image handling is working OK.
